Rise
Click images to view larger. This lovely mermaid is rising up from the dark depths toward the sun. She is sterling silver with a tail made from mokume (a piece from the class I took with Anne). The bubbles are all moonstone. 2.5 x 1.5".
Clear-Eyed
Click image to view larger. I wanted to convey the wish that we "emerge" from this very strange time with our eyes open to all the good things that came from it. And that we do not lose that as we 'get back to normal". This is a sterling silver and copper brooch, with a beautiful (but very hard to photograph) dichroic glass cabachon as the eye. I sang " the girl with kaleidoscope eyes" the whole time I was making it. I have never made a brooch before, so I used Anne's instructions and it worked great! 1 x 2.25".

Artist's Statement
I am grateful that I had my bench and my jewelry making during the pandemic. It kept me sane to be able to go out there and create! It also allowed me to take some amazing online classes and connect with some great people. I started making jewelry as a way to use my sea glass collection. I have only grown from there.
