Our August Hammer Yammer was great fun. Gosh everyone's been working on such interesting things! Lily shared her etching projects (amazing cat!!), Kathy shared her Metal Arts Society of Southern California (MASSC) Challenge entry (a face, naturally), Annette showed off the stunning patinas on her oh-so-Japanese-box, Val gave a progress report on the dog face pancake die she's been working on, Marla talked us through how she made her cool steampunk wrist cuff (another MASSC challenge item), Jean shared her beaded bracelet (which really put the CHALLENGE in MASSC challenge), Renee showed off some cool 3D printed fabric reminiscent of octopus suckers, and Dale in Alaska reported on his the latest moose encounter! I think there was even more, but I can't claim to have kept up with it all so if you were there and I missed your thing, send me some words and a pic so I can add it! Thanks so much to all 17 of you who came through, you make our online gatherings such fun and a real touchtone for our far-flung maker community. If you're reading this and haven't stopped in yet, know that you're heartily invited. It's totally free on Zoom on the 1st Tuesday or every month at 5:30pm Pacific time.
